Summer solstice is a time to honor light and the our connection to Sun and Earth and the light within us!
It has been celebrated by numerous ancient civilizations, The Mayans, Essenes, Druids and Egyptians, who all understood the spiritual significance of this natural event, and they built monuments, temples or structures that captured the divine moment of alignment, and at that space they would participate in sacred ceremonies on this day.
It’s a time to remember all the blessings this earth and sun provides for us. It’s also a time to celebrate your inner power or light and your ability to grow or manifest things from a tiny thought into something magnificent as the earth does with a seed to the growth of a flower or the ripening of food. We all have the same abilities and power and source within us as the earth and Sun we just need to believe!
Summer also teaches us patience, as we watch the growth of a fruit or a flower it reminds us to enjoy the process, of how all things are created, from life, to food, to a goal
we are trying to accomplish because the process is as incredible as the final piece.
